Canfield holds off GlenOak

CANFIELD 58, GLENOAK 52: ALLIANCE - Jarret Vrabel had eight of his game-high 22 points in the fourth quarter to help the Cardinals complete the rally over the Golden Eagles in this Division I sectional semifinal at Alliance High School.

Canfield next plays top-seeded Lake in Friday's sectional final starting at 7:30 p.m.

Cole Pryjma added 11 points for the Cardinals.

Jake Merrell had 11 points, while Jaevon Johnson added 11 points for GlenOak.

WEST BRANCH 62, STRUTHERS 50: BOARDMAN - Beau Taylor led a trio of double-figure scorers as the Warriors ended the Wildcats season in this Division II sectional semifinal.

Kip Deshields added 15 points, while Jacob Griffith put in 12.

Dave Stewart led all scorers and Struthers with 21 points, while Ray'Quan Phifer put in 14.

Wednesday, West Branch takes on Cardinal Mooney in a sectional final starting at 6 p.m.

EAST 74, BOARDMAN 52: ALLIANCE - Eleven players scored for East as the Panthers cruised past Boardman in a Division I sectional semifinal at Alliance High School.

Deontay Scott scored eight of his team-high 13 points in the first quarter, when East took a 23-8 lead. Taylor Johnson added 12 for East, which led 37-19 at the half.

Dylan Bosele poured in a game-high 20 points for the Spartans.

East takes on fourth-seeded Warren G. Harding in Friday's sectional final starting at 6 p.m.

CAMPBELL 49, GARFIELD 46: HOWLAND - Campbell's Jeremy Vazquez scored six of his nine points in the fourth quarter to help the Red Devils hold off Garfield in a Division III sectional semifinal at Howland High School.

Campbell led, 37-33, heading into the fourth, but the Red Devils made just 3 of 11 free throws in the fourth quarter. George Billiris paced Campbell with 15 points. D.J. Harrison added 10.

Matt Pratt led the G-Men with 15 points, including six in the fourth quarter.

Campbell takes on top-seeded LaBrae in Wednesday's sectional final starting at 7:30 p.m.
