WARREN - A 24-year-old city man was treated at a Youngstown hospital earlier this morning after he showed up in the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his right hand, according to police.
Police said the man told hospital staff he had been shot in Warren about 2 a.m. when he was confronted by someone he did not know at the corner of Hazelwood Avenue and Clarence Street S.E. He said the person demanded everything he had and when he did not give him anything, the person pointed a gun at him.
A struggle ensued, and the gun went off wounding the man's hand, according to reports.
