BROOKSHIRE, Texas - Mildred Vukmirovich Nikolin, formerly of Youngstown, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013.
She was born Dec. 29, 1918, in Chicago, the daughter of Peter and Ljubica Vukmirovich.
She wrote for the Niles Times newspaper and was a member of Old Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in Austintown.
Survivors include three daughters, Mia Hamilton of Houston, Gabrielle Nikolin of Dallas and Jennifer Meyer of Bath; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Nikolin.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Old Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in Austintown, where calling hours will be held one hour prior to services.
Arrangements were handled by Blackstone Funeral Home.
