HOWLAND - Charles R. Bartholomew, 88, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at his residence.
He was born on Dec. 18, 1924, in Warren, the son of John and Della Means Bartholomew.
Charles was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and retired from Republic Steel Corp.

He is survived by his son, Chuck Bartholomew of Greeley, Colo.; stepdaughters, Linda White of Warren and Ruth Cessna of Champion; brothers, Dick Bartholomew of Bristolville and Tom Bartholomew of Warren; a sister, Arlene Morgan of Linesville, Pa., four granddaughters, a grandson and three great-granddaughters.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Brumbaugh Bartholomew.
Arrangements are entrusted to McFarland & Son Funeral Services, Warren.
