BOARDMAN - Andrew Martin Filicky, 81, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Park Vista Retirement Community.
Andrew was born March 5, 1931, in Youngstown, the son of Joseph John and Katherine Reigrut Filicky.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving from 1951 to 1955 during the Korean War, and was stationed in Texas, Greenland and Alabama.

He was retired from the paint department at General Extrusions, Boardman, and was a member of St. Luke Church.
Survivors include his wife, Anastasia Mary Kral Filicky; his five children, Kenneth J. of Poland, Diane M. Filicky of Youngstown, Richard A. of Poland, Edward J. of Boardman and Joseph A. of Hubbard; three brothers, Robert of Canfield, Karl D. of Knoxville, Tenn., and Thomas E. of Frankfort, Ky.; seven grandsons and one granddaughter.
Andrew was preceded in death by a son, Daniel J. Filicky.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
