MECCA - Florence May Brand, 94, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at her home.
She was born May 17, 1918, the daughter of Clayton and Eltie York.
Florence enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing and knitting items for charity.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Harry Brand; four children, Laura White, Martha Churchill, Dale (Betty) Brand and David Brand; five grandchildren, Joshua and Sarah White, Christina Churchill, Jonas Formica, and Scarlet Milano; and a great grandson, Dominic Milano.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence, Francis, Harold, Wayne and Clarence York; her sister, Mary Eileen Dillon; and grandson, Kevin Churchill.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer Winans Chapel, 164 N. High St., Cortland. Calling hours will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
