Maipa I. Hart 1924-2013

SOUTHINGTON - Maipa Izetta Hart, 88, died at 7:34 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, in Gainesville, Fla., while traveling.

She was born Aug. 6, 1924, in Johnstown, W. Va., the daughter of the late Leroy and Charlotte Riddle Fish.

Mrs. Hart was a graduate of Wooster High School and was a homemaker.

Some of her hobbies included traveling, playing cards, Sudoku and crossword puzzles and Duke University basketball. She was a Cleveland Indians fan.

Survivors include her two children, Paul R. (Marion Kane) Hart of Southington and Marsha (Val) Novicki of Dubois, Wyo.; two granddaughters, Leah Novicki of Plainfield, Ill., and Kara Novicki of Denver; one stepgrandson, Michael L. Webb of Kinsman; one great-grandson, Henry Szekely; and three stepgreat-grandchildren, Brandon, Kyle and Christina.

Her husband, Raymond P. Hart, to whom she was united in marriage on Dec. 6, 1948, preceded her in death on March 31, 2008.

Other than her parents and husband, Maipa was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Tomkins and Elsie Riddle, and one stepgrandson, Brian Webb.

Family and friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home in Warren.

Sharing of memories will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Southington Reformed Cemetery Chapel.

The family requests that material contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512, in her memory.
