Mother arraigned in Stuthers boy's death
STRUTHERS - The mother of a 14-year-old who was killed was arraigned Friday in Struthers Municipal Court on complicity charges.
Bond was set at $100,000 for Shain Widdersheim, 32, who faces charges of complicity to murder, complicity to rape, tampering with evidence and obstruction of justice in the death of her son, Teddy Foltz.
Her boyfriend, Zaryl Bush, 43, is charged with murder and an additional count of rape in Foltz's death.
Foltz died last weekend at St. Elizabeth Health Center, where he was taken after he was hospitalized Jan. 21 with a severe head injury.
Family members tipped off detectives that Foltz's injuries were suspicious and after an investigation, police charged Bush, saying that for three years he abused the teen.
Widdersheim was charged because she was not truthful with investigators and that she allowed the abuse to happen, according to officials.
Bush was arrested Tuesday and is being held in the Mahoning County Jail on $1 million bond. Widdersheim was arrested Wednesday and is also in the Mahoning County Jail.
