Mary I. Habosky 1933-2013

SOUTHINGTON - Mary I. Habosky, 79, passed away at 9:58 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.

Mary was born. Dec. 4, 1933, in Warren, the daughter of Harry and Elsie Justis Killin.

A homemaker, Mary enjoyed bingo, shopping on QVC, and most of all she enjoyed her grandchildren.

Mary was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, SS. Cyril & Methodius Church in Warren.

Mary married her first husband, Giles Davidson, on June 18, 1955, and they were married for three years until his passing April 5, 1959. She then married John E. Habosky on July 31, 1964, and they were married for 32 years until his passing Dec. 26, 1996.

Mary is survived by five children, Dale "Chip" (Darla) Habosky of Southington, Mark Davidson of Warren, John J. Habosky of Southington, Patty (Dennis) Hedrick of Warren and Mary (John) Gore of Champion; a sister, Jean Cameron of Cortland, 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands and parents, Mary was preceded in death by five brothers, Harry, David, Eugene, Raymond and Robert Killin; and by a sister, Eleanor Nidel.

Calling hours will take place from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeffrey M. Stealey presiding.

Burial will follow in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.
