Clyde K. Hart 1924-2013

WARREN - Clyde K. Hart, 88, passed into eternal rest on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013.

He was born Sept. 12, 1924, in Southington, the son of Harry H. Hart Sr. and Nora Belle Gillette Hart, and was a lifelong resident of Trumbull County.

He was a World War II veteran who served in the U.S. Air Force.

Clyde came to Warren in 1948 where he met his wife, Virginia Rinzella. They spent the next 50 years together until her death in 1999.

He was employed by Wean Engineering as a layout man and fitter for 31 years. He retired in 1987.

He also worked at McKay Machine Shop in Youngstown and Federal Machine and Welding. After retiring, Clyde provided maintenance for the office of his son, Dr. Richard Hart, until his passing.

He was an avid sportsman and elite senior athlete. He won the Senior Olympics National Championship in the 10K in 2005; nine straight foul shooting state championships between 1991 and 2000; the Ohio State 10K run four times between 1990 and 2005; and multiple road races in Warren and Trumbull County. He was a member of the Warren YMCA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; four sisters, Elma, Ellene, Kathryn and Janet; and six brothers, Herman, Edward, Ray, Carl, Robert and Harry.

He is survived by a brother, William Hart of Southington; a sister, Annie Mae Smith of Southington; a son, Dr. Richard A. (Jessica) Hart of Warren; a daughter, Kristal Hart of New York City; three grandchildren, Remington, Thorsten and Montgomery Hart; as well as 10 nieces and seven nephews.

At Clyde's request there will be no services or calling hours.
