CORTLAND - Walter C. Bansky, 72, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 13, 1940, in Warren, the son of the late Walter C. Bansky Sr. and the late Anna Evenski.
He married Marcia ChinChic Bansky on May 1, 1965.

He retired from WCI Steel Corp., where he was an equipment operator. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
He loved traveling, reading, watching the news, bike riding and having coffee with friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Marcia Bansky of Cortland; sister, Sophie (Donald) Hynst of Fowler; special niece, Tania (fiance Rob) Butcher of Cortland; nephew, Jerry (Kim) Coulter of Tennessee; brother-in-law, Larry (Tina) ChinChic of Howland; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Johnny.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, where the Rev. Andrew Deskevich will officiate. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
Interment will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.
