The engagement and upcoming marriage of Kirstie M. Crain and Jacob E. Sloan are being announced by the bride-elect's parents, Kimberely Bumgardner of Howland, and Scott Crain of Niles.
Parents of the groom-elect are Kay Sloan of Bristolville, and Joe Sloan of Orwell.
Miss Crain is a Niles McKinley High School graduate pursuing a degree in radiology.

Mr. Sloan is a Bristol High School graduate attending I.E.C. Western Reserve. He is employed as an electrical apprentice for Aey Electric.
The couple will be united in marriage during a ceremony to be held Aug. 3, 2013. Invitations will be issued for the ceremony and a reception to follow at Ciminero's Banquet Centre.
