Tribune Chronicle |

CHICAGO -- Former Girard High School standout Pat Meyer was hired by new Chicago Bears coach Marc Trestman. Meyer will be an offensive assistant.

Meyer was the Canadian Football League's Montreal Alouettes' offensive coordinator and offensive line coach under Trestman last year. Meyer previously worked with Trestman at North Carolina State in 2006.

Meyer was All-Western Athletic Conference as a guard at Colorado State from 1992 through 1994. He then signed as a free agent with the Arizona Cardinals but soon after entered the coaching ranks.
