HOWLAND - Rose Hepburn, 88, died Monday morning, Jan. 21, 2013, at Hospice House in Youngstown.
She was born Oct. 27, 1924, in Shadyside, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Straka Podruzek.
Rose was a homemaker all of her married life and worked for several years as a cook for Howland Local Schools at the junior high school. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Warren.

Hepburn
Rose enjoyed bowling with her husband, Charles, in mixed bowling leagues, and they also enjoyed traveling together. She enjoyed ceramics and cooking and the company of her beloved cat, Izzy. She loved spending time with her family and being a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Her husband, Charles M. Hepburn, whom she married Nov. 15, 1947, preceded in death Aug. 16, 1988.
Rose is survived by two daughters, Rose (Kenny Stalnaker) Foley and Charlene (Tom) Burick, both of Howland; two sons, Chuck (Nancy) Hepburn of Liberty and Bob (Lisa) Hepburn of Canfield; eight grandchildren, Carrie Hepburn, Chuck (Jen) Hepburn, Allen (Margot) Vanscoy, Chris Vanscoy, Jenny (Rich) Corley, Tom (Debi) Burick, Dave (Melinie) Burick and Sarah (Tim) Rowland; 15 great-grandchildren, Haley, Kylen, Garrett, Grace, Brandon, Ella, Aiden, Jared, Will, Morgan, Taylor, Madison, Justin, Elizabeth and Jillian; and two sisters, Charlotte Oshie and Sue Porter, both of Shadyside.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
The funeral Mass will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at St Mary's Catholic Church in Warren, where the family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior to the Mass. The Rev. Bernard Schmalzried will celebrate the Mass.
Burial will take place in Pineview Memorial Park.
Arrangements were entrusted to Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel.
