The first assignment for participants in the Page One workshop at the Tribune Chronicle involves asking their first-period teacher who sits in their chair the last period of the day before. That student is then asked the following questions:

"I try to stress out less."

"Be a doctor."

"Being a sister."

What is one thing nobody would guess about you?

"I listen to a lot of alternative music."

What's the bravest thing you've ever done?

"I was prepared to fight a burglar. I was home alone, and I?heard a lot of noise, so I?grabbed a knife."

In what ways are you strange, eccentric or mysterious?

"I have a short attention span - my thoughts are random."

Describe something that has happened to you that would fit into a novel.
