David J. Webber 1941-2013

SHARON, Pa. - David J. Webber, 71, died at 11:50 a.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, in Sharon Regional Health System following an extended illness.

He was born Oct. 27, 1941, in Christian H. Buhl Hospital, Sharon, the son of Ray and Helen Diurba Webber.

He served in the U.S. Army as a sergeant, retired from the City of Sharon as a police sergeant, and then retired from Delphi Packard Electric, Warren.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia A. Matusick; a daughter, Shari Williams of Howland; a son, Matt Webber of Sharon; three grandchildren; two stepgrandsons; a sister, Martha Hench of Cincinnati; and three brothers, James Webber San Marcos, Calif., Stephen Webber of Sharpsville, Pa., and Tom Webber of Masury.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie A. Webber Buckley Meszaros; three brothers; and a sister.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Sharon. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel.

Internment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery with committal prayers and military honor in Buhl Memorial Chapel.
