RICHLAND, Wash. - Mary I. Gearhart Gius, 72, formerly of Leavittsburg, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, in Richland, following a fight with lung cancer.
She was born Nov. 22, 1940, the daughter of Frank and Bessie Gearhart.
Mary leaves two daughters, Sandy Wolcott of Ohio and Carla Peterson of Washington; a son, Richard Peterson Jr. of Washington; a stepdaughter, Debbie Jackson; two stepsons, David and Martin Rowlett; four sisters Marilyn Harris and Joan Peterson of Ohio, Rhoda Aubel of Pennsylvania and Karen Cook of Georgia; five brothers, Frank Gearhart of Arizona, Merle Gearhart of Washington and Jeff, Homer and John, all of Ohio; one granddaughter; five grandsons; six stepgranddaughters; one great-granddaughter; two great-grandsons; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Tammie Baxter, one sister and three brothers.
Life Tributes Cremation Center, Kennewick, Wash., handled the arrangements.
