NILES - Beverly Jean Collins, 73, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 9, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Beverly was born March 1, 1939, in Beech Bottom, W.Va., the daughter of Charles H. and Virginia Motley Knowlton, and came to the area in 1949.
Beverly was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Beacon of Hope Baptist Church in Warren.

Beverly leaves behind her former husband, Merle Collins; two children, Debra (Rick) Benchea of Warren and Tom (Martie) Collins, owner of Tom's Lawn Care, of Niles; two brothers, Charles H. (Carol) Knowlton of Newton Falls and Mark (Aleta) Knowlton of Spring Valley, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Mike (Heather) Collins, TC Collins, Amanda (Chris) Glunt and Sam Collins, all of Niles, April Fellows, Brandy and Erica Benchea, all of Warren, and Jamie Fellows of McDonald; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Joyce Fenton.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Niles Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
