AUSTINTOWN - William D. "Dibbie" DeAngelo, 94, died Wednesday evening, Jan. 9, 2013, with his loving family by his side.
He was born Nov. 3, 1918, in Youngstown, the son of Carl and Florence Trotti DeAngelo.
Dibbie retired from the Youngstown Welding and Engineering Co. and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served with the 9th Infantry Division.
Survivors include four children, William Jr. of Austintown, Thomas of St. Charles, Ill., Joseph of Canfield and Debbie Lowe of Austintown; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Pallante, and two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Rossi and Santucci Funeral Home in Boardman. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Youngstown, preceded by a 9:15 a.m. prayer service held at the funeral home.
Burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
