LEAVITTSBURG - Donald C. Hann, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at University Hospitals in Cleveland and surrounded by his family.
He was born Aug. 31, 1929, in Leavittsburg, the son of William M. and Ruth M. Laidig Hann.
Don was a 1947 graduate of Leavittsburg High School and was employed as an assistant treasurer at Wean Manufacturing Inc. for 37 years.

He was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where he was a deacon, assistant treasurer and also worked in the Sunday school office.
Don loved spending time with his family, he also liked fishing, gardening and yard work.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Vera L. Frederick Hann of Leavittsburg, whom he married Jan. 16, 1948.; a son, Gary A. (Joyce) Hann of Newark, Ohio; a brother, William (Jane) Hann of Denver; sisters, Betty (Pete) Kozak of Burghill and Carol Titus of Austintown; a grandson, Joshua (Bobbi) Hann, and granddaughter, Sarah (Wayne) Farnsworth the III, both of Newark, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Cora, Alaina and Emma Hann and Alexandra, Hannah and Ethan Farnsworth, all of Newark, Ohio; his stepmother, Annie Hann of Vienna; brothers-in-law, Paul (JoAnn) Frederick and William (Helen) Frederick, both of Leavittsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, William M. and Ruth M. Hann, and a son, David M. Hann.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where the Rev. Dee Emery will officiate.
Friends may visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at church.
Burial will take place in Pine Knoll Cemetery.
