LAKE MILTON - Robert E. Wimer Jr., 67, died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at his home after a battle with brain cancer.
Bob was born June 9, 1945, in Youngstown, the son of Robert and Helen Capece Wimer Sr.
He retired from General Motors Lordstown and served in the U.S. Army in Germany during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish at St. Catherine's Church.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Vickodil Wimer; three daughters, Michelle Adams of Youngstown, Shannon Blackburn of Youngstown and Laura Wimer of Howland; two stepsons, Matthew and Stephen Shrock of Conneaut Lake, Pa.; one sister, Judi Banna of Canfield; and five grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, where funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
