MINERAL RIDGE - Sara J. Maier, 83, formerly of Liberty, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Vista Center at the Ridge.
Sara was born Oct. 7, 1929, in DuBois, Pa., the daughter of Joseph Benson and Jane Moore Litz.
Sara had worked at DuBois Hospital and was a member of New Life Lutheran Church in Liberty.

She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Kopanic of Hubbard and Jane Selner of Poland; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her sister, Ruth Kilhofer of State College, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar W. Maier; and a brother.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home, Hubbard.
There will be calling hours one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Sara will be laid to rest at Belmont Park Cemetery.
