SUNRISE, Fla. - Teresa D. Petela, 78, formerly of Newton Falls, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at her residence.
On Dec. 26, 1934, in Sokolka, Poland, Stanislaw and Stanislawa Wycislak were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Teresa.
Edward M. Petela and Teresa D. Wycislak were united into marriage on Aug. 23, 1958, and from this union they had sons Art and Chris. Edward preceded her in death on Sept. 20, 1993.
Teresa has resided in Sunrise for 15 years, and in her spare time enjoyed gardening and crocheting.
Cherished memories of Teresa will be carried on by her sons, Art (Lisa) Petela of Sunrise and Chris Petela of Bakersfield, Calif.; a brother, Zbyczek Wycislak of Cypress, Calif., and five grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, brother and two sisters.
Graveside services will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, where Teresa will be laid to rest next to her husband, Edward.
Local arrangements are being handled by Borowski Memorial Home, Newton Falls.
