Mr. and Mrs. Lee H. Giesecke of Cortland celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 29.
The couple was honored at a family dinner with their three children and spouses, Kristin (Craig) Broadbent, Lea Ann (Rodd) Knapp and Eric (Amy) Giesecke. Their six grandchildren will also share in this special occasion.
Lee Giesecke and the former Linda Smith were married on Dec. 29, 1962 in New Castle, Pa.

The couple are both graduates of New Castle High School. Mr. Giesecke received a mechanical engineering degree from Tri-State (Trine) University, Angola, Ind. He worked for Taylor-Winfield, Alcan Aluminum and more recently Wheatland Tube, Sharon, Pa.
Mrs. Giesecke attended Youngstown State University and worked for Bell Telephone Co. She also sold real estate in the Warren area for many years.
The couple enjoys traveling, playing bridge and spending time with family (especially their grandchildren) and friends. They are members of Howland United Methodist Church where they spend many hours volunteering.
