Mr. and Mrs. Elbert "Roy" Tackett celebrated their 60th anniversary on Nov. 22, 2012.
Mr. Tackett and the former Doris Porter both grew up in Olive Hill (Carter County), Ky., and were high school sweethearts. They were married Nov. 22, 1952, and moved to Warren in 1953.
They have five sons, Richard (Sandra) of Kinsman, Keith (Isabella) of Houston, Tim (Maureen) of Newburgh, Ind., Rodney (Darlene) of Warren and Wendell (Astrid) of Ann Arbor, Mich. They also have 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Elbert retired from Copperweld Steel in 1986 and Doris is a homemaker. The couple have resided in Champion for the last 30 years.
