PARKMAN - Melvin M. Miller, 74, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012.
He was born June 17, 1938, in Parkman, the son of Milo J. and Lydia Byler Miller.
He was a member of Old Order Amish Church and worked as a blacksmith before retiring.
Melvin will be missed by his loving wife, Mary M. Yoder; eight children, Daniel, Ida Miller, Erma Miller, Lydiann Miller, Melvin Jr., Barbara Detweiler, and Willis and Mary Ann Miller; 67 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; two brothers and six sisters.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at 16363 Newcomb Road, Parkman. Visitation will be anytime until the time of service. Melvin's final resting place will be in Yoder Cemetery in Parkman.
Arrangements were handled by Best Funeral Home in Middlefield.
