Warren native Jason Kokrak had quite the first full season on the PGA Tour. He made 13 cuts, finished in the top 10 twice and earned a right to get his PGA Tour Card for the 2013 season.

And as of today, he will have a sponsor.

Covelli Enterprises announced Thursday that the Warren-based business will sponsor the John F. Kennedy graduate for the 2013 season. The agreement will be announced officially today at a press conference at Covelli Enterprises.

"We are excited to be partnering with Jason Kokrak," said Sam Covelli, owner/operator of Covelli Enterprises. "I have followed his career since his high school days at Warren John F. Kennedy and have always been impressed with him both on and off the golf course."

With the sponsorship, Kokrak will wear the Panera Bread logo on his golf shirt during the 2013 season.

The 2003 Kennedy graduate finished 122nd on the money list for 2012, earning $750,221. The top 125 golfers on the list are automatically granted their tour cards for the next season. His best finish of the year came in October, when he finished second in the Frys.com Open.

The 2013 PGA season begins Jan. 4 with the Tournament of Champions, but the first tournament Kokrak can play in is on Jan. 10-13, The Sony Open in Hawaii. Kokrak played in the tournament last year and finished tied for 75th.

"I look forward to him representing our company this year and watching him as he continues his rise as one of the best young players in golf," Covelli said.
