Libraries closed for New Year’s

LIBRARY SETS CLOSINGS FOR HOLIDAYS: All Warren-Trumbull County Public Library locations will close at 5 p.m. Monday and remain closed all day Tuesday for New Year's Day. The closings include the Main Library in Warren, branch libraries in Brookfield, Cortland, Howland, Liberty, Lordstown, the Bookmobile, and Homebound Library Service.

JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT SELLS TICKETS: Through Junior Achievement of Mahoning Valley, discounted tickets for the Harlem Globetrotters 2013 World Tour at the Covelli Centre on Jan.30 are available.

Tickets are $26 per person, with no box office convenience fees. For every ticket that is sold through the Junior Achievement office, the Harlem Globetrotters will contribute $6 to Junior Achievement Mahoning Valley. Tickets will be available to Jan. 24 or while supplies last.

Magic Pass tickets are also available through JA this year. Magic Pass is a 30-minute pre-show event that all ages can spend time on the court with the Globetrotters - shooting, trying out ball tricks, autographs and photos.

BEATITUDE HOUSE GREEN CLEAN AWARDED GRANT: Beatitude House Green Clean has received a $3,000 grant from the local Catholic Campaign for Human Development to assist with additional training for workers and transportation costs.

Beatitude House Green Clean is an environmentally friendly commercial and residential cleaning service, utilizing "green" cleaning products and techniques to safeguard both the environment and customer.
