LIBERTY - George L. Myers, 92, formerly of Hadley Avenue, Youngstown, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Liberty Health Care Center.
George was born Sept. 22, 1920, in Barberton, the son of George E. and Lucy M. Homan Myers.
He retired from the Liberty school system and was a member of Liberty Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, the former Edna Marian Stiver; a son, James L. of Stow; a daughter, Janice L. Coombs of Liberty; three grandchildren; and a sister, Anna Mae Williams of Barberton.
He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
There will be a service at noon Saturday at Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home, where calling hours are from 10 a.m. until the time of service. George will be laid to rest in Belmont Park Cemetery.
