YOUNGSTOWN - The Board of Control today approved an amended lease agreement for V&M Star's new plant.
Law Director and BOC member Anthony Farris said that the new lease allows V&M to begin operations at the new plant, which will produce seamless pipe for the natural gas industry.
Last week the city agreed to a 99-year lease for the property where the new mill is being built, which is on nearby industrial land in Girard that was annexed into Youngstown for the new plant.
Girard and Youngstown worked out a tax sharing arrangement for the project in order for the annexation to proceed.
