AUSTINTOWN - David C. Cole Jr., 69, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, at his residence.
Born Jan. 1, 1943, in Youngstown, he was the son of David Charles and Christine Wecht Cole Sr. He served this country in the U.S. Army and was very proud of his military work.
David retired in 2001 from Delphi (Packard Electric) where he was a general supervisor. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Austintown.

David was an avid sports fan. He loved golf and belonged to three different leagues. His favorite pastime was spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren and he loved attending all of their school and sports functions.
He was a supporter and fan of the Poland High School basketball team and Ohio State football. He was so proud and excited that his grandson, Billy, was starting this coming season with the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Survivors include his daughters; Pamela (David) Lescsak of Austintown and Kimberly (Joseph) Duche of Charleroi, Pa.; a brother, Kevin R. (Grace) Cole of Austintown; sisters Elaine L. Worrell of Poland and Janet R. (Kenneth) Grisdale of Canfield; grandchildren, Billy and Savannah Price, Andrew and Hayley Lescsak, Danielle Lambert, Ashley, Amanda and Michael Kope and Gabrielle Duche.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Patricia.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Lane Family Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Austintown.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's name to the American Diabetes Association.
