WARREN - Herbert B. "Joe" McVicker, 86, of Warren, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 22, 1926, in Clemtown, W.Va., a son of the late Hollis "Holly" McVicker and the late Savannah Murphy McVicker.
He worked as a roll hand at LTV Steel for 32 years until his retirement.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II.
Joe enjoyed watching NASCAR, doing yardwork, and loved riding on his tractor. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
He is survived by his fiancee, Betty Winkleman of Lordstown; his children, Herbert (Jennifer) McVicker Jr. of Warren, Sandra Sue (Harold) Gum of Fairmont, W.Va., Tina Marie (Tom) Lewis of Geneva and Mary Louise McVicker of Warren; his grandchildren, Greg and Dana Varner, and Krystle Lewis; and great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Nathaniel and Bentley.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Wanda Nesmith McVicker, who preceded him on April 1, 2000; and seven brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
