CORTLAND - Steve Stocz Jr., 83, of Cortland, died at 7 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 15, 1929, in Leechburg, Pa., a son of Steve Sr. and Veronica Stocz.
Steve came to Warren in 1933 and was a 1948 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and received a B.A. in business administration in 1964 from Youngstown State University.

He retired in June 1980 from Packard Electric Division of General Motors as superintendent of Plant 11 after 34 years.
He was a member of St. Roberts Church in Cortland and Knights of Columbus Warren Council 620.
Steve enjoyed stain glass, golf and traveling.
Steve served in the Navy.
His wife, Rita Ulishney Stocz, died Jan. 18, 2011.
He leaves four children, Mark (Anita) Stocz of Cortland, Edward Stocz of Cary, N.C., James (Debbie) Stocz of Greer, S.C., and Paula Hagner of Apex, N.C.; four grandchildren, Katie, Patrick and Michael Stocz, and Sarah Hagner; and a brother, Frank (Jan) Stocz of Cortland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, John Stocz; and a sister, Mary Stocz.
Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Robert's Church in Cortland. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Carl Kish officiating.
Entombment will be in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.
