Betty Dyke 1938-2012

WARREN - Betty Mazarek Dyke, 74, formerly of Orwell, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at St. Joseph Health Center.

She was born April 1, 1938, in Warren, the daughter of the late Paul P. Mazarek Sr. and the late Anna Dugack Mazarek.

She worked as a wiring harness maker for KD Manufacturing for 18 years.

Betty was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Women of the Moose, and enjoyed bowling.

She is survived by her sons, James Alan (Ginger) Dyke of Cross Junction, Va., and Lawrence William (Susanne) Dyke of Montville; her siblings, Florence Revis of Champion and Joseph Mazarek of Warren; and her grandchildren, Ian Dyke, Brandi, Brian and Braden Reynolds.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merle William Dyke, whom she married Dec. 1, 1961, and who preceded her in death Aug. 15, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Ann Mullenax, Emily Suhay, Mary Datchuk, Victoria Mitrovich, Helen Farragut, William Mazarek and Paul P. Mazarek Jr.

Services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home. Friends may call two hours prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be in North Cemetery in Orwell at 10 a.m. Friday.

The family requests that material contributions be made to American Heart Association-Ohio Valley Affiliate, P.O. Box 182039 Dept. 013, Columbus, OH 43218, in her memory.
