MASURY - James Giovannone, 85, died at 9:34 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Sharon Regional Hospital.
He was born March 4, 1927, in Niles, the son of Evangelist Dominico and Marietta Giovannone.
James had worked at the Niles Fairhaven Workshop as an assembler of small parts for GM for the past 40 years. He was blessed by the Church of Jesus Christ in 1927.

Survivors include a sister, Elizabeth (James) Alessio; a brother, Jerry (Connie) Giovannone; sisters-in-law, Barbara and Carolyn Giovannone, and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and one sister.
Family and friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren, where a funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Evangelist Ronald Giovannone officiating. A private burial will take place in Niles City Cemetery in Niles.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ, 1900 Keefer Road, Girard, OH 44420.
