VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Bettie L. Rolland, 73, formerly of McDonald, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012.
She was born April 4, 1939, in Marietta, the daughter of George and Florence Elliott, also of Ohio.
Bettie was a graduate of McDonald High School in McDonald. After 13 years of being a full-time mother and housewife, she also took on careers in telemarketing, sales and property management work. As an accomplished sales representative with Culligan Water Conditioning of Youngstown, she had the opportunity with the Culligan Co. to move to Virginia Beach, where she has resided and worked since 1983.

The last 20 years, Bettie and Lance have managed Self Storage Properties, associated with Pinnacle Realty and Development owned by Tom Fiskus. While in the sales and property management business, Bettie and her husband won many Top Performance awards. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Bettie is survived by her husband of 27 years, Lansford J. Rolland; two sons, Phillip (Heather) Kilbourne of Girard and Stanley Kilbourne of New York City, N.Y.; a grandson, Tyler of Girard; two sisters; nieces; nephews and many other friends and family.
She attended London Bridge Baptist Church. Bettie and the Lord were on good terms. She loved the Lord and knew that a place was being prepared for her by Jesus Christ, her Savior. "My beautiful wife and closest friend is now with Him."
Family and friends will be notified of a Celebration of Life gathering to be held in January or early February 2013.
