NORTH BLOOMFIELD - Carl T. Warner, 79, passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2012.
He was born Aug. 6, 1933, in Cherry Grove, W.Va., the son of Ezra Warner and Virgie Lee Warner.
Carl was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and worked as a union heavy equipment operator until his retirement. He grew up in Cherry Grove, W.Va., and enjoyed nature and spending time outdoors. He enjoyed his retirement and loved spending time with his wife, Opal, whom he married June 24, 1973, and his many children and grandchildren. Carl was a member of the VFW and North Bristol Christian Church.

Carl is survived by his wife of 40 years, Opal; children, Wesley Warner of Cleveland, Ezra (Denise) Warner of North Bloomfield, Pamela (Larry) Koon of North Bloomfield, Joanie (Paul) Shinhearl of Concord, Daniel Warner of Painesville, Connie (Wayne) Thomas of Mentor, Linda Smeltzer of Breezewood, Pa., and Guy Richard Bennett of Kentucky; five sisters, Creola Lambert, Masel Hannah, Zonia Daniels, Wilmallee Warner and Wilda Warner; one brother, Dan Warner; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Mance Warner, Bill Warner, Robert Warner and Gerald Warner; and three children, Jim Ray Warner, Tim Jay Warner and Todd Warner.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Paine-Guerriero Funeral Home, 140 E. Main St., Orwell, OH 44076
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dale Briggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Brownwood Cemetery in North Bloomfield with military honors.
