CANFIELD 67, HOWLAND 42: CANFIELD - Canfield outscored Howland 25-7 in the first quarter and never looked back in its All-American Conference, American Division victory over the Tigers.

Sabrina Mangapora led Canfield (6-1, 2-0) with 14 points, while Abby Baker added 13.

Gabby Cvengros led Howland (5-3, 2-1) with 10 points.

HUBBARD 51, NILES 45: HUBBARD - Melissa Thomas scored eight of her game-high 20 points in the fourth quarter to lead the Eagles past the Red Dragons in this AAC American Division game.

Megan Morris had 18 points to lead Niles, while Ashley Cline and Katrina Harris each had 10 points for the Red Dragons.

LAKEVIEW 77, LIBERTY 46: CORTLAND - Allie Pavlik had nine of her game-high 26 points in the first quarter as Lakeview handled Liberty in this AAC, National Division game.

Addison Becker and Marissa Naples each had 12 points for Lakeview (6-3, 3-0).

Rachel Crum paced Liberty (2-6, 0-2) with 18 points, while Leah Leshnack added 10.

Lakeview plays LaBrae next Thursday.

LEDGEMONT 46, BADGER 39: KINSMAN - Olivia Sidley made eight of nine free throws in the final quarter to lead the Redskins past the Braves in this Northeastern Athletic Conference battle.

Badger (1-7, 0-5) scored the last seven points, pulling away after Ledgemont tied the game with four minutes remaining.

Jessica Fontana added 12 for Ledgemont.

Holly Masters paced the Braves with 17 points, while Taylor Kramer added 11.

Badger plays at Newbury on Thursday.

JACKSON-MILTON 60, MINERAL RIDGE 21: NORTH JACKSON - Paije Kiraly had six of her 14 points in the second quarter to lead the Blue Jays past the Rams in this Inter-Tri County League, Upper Tier battle.

Madison Tomaino had 13 points, while Rebecca Jones added 12 for Jackson-Milton (7-2, 3-2).

Peyton Allen, Kayla Govenor and Chasity Digman each had five points to lead Mineral Ridge.

Saturday, Jackson-Milton hosts Tallmadge. The JV game begins at 1 p.m., while the varsity starts at 2:30.

LEETONIA 46, MCDONALD 35: MCDONALD - The Blue Devils struggled in the first and fourth quarters in a home loss in an Inter-Tri County League, Lower Tier matchup against Leetonia on Thursday.

McDonald kept pace with the Bears in the second and third quarters, but Leetonia held the Blue Devils to eight and five points in the first and fourth quarters.

Nicole Mann led the Bears with 15 points, as three players reached double figures in the game. Tory Ross and Jaydin Stellmar led McDonald with 10 points each.

PYMATUNING VALLEY 56, CONNEAUT 16: ANDOVER - The Lakers easily dispatched the Spartans at home on Thursday.

Pymatuning Valley (6-2) took a 23-point lead into halftime and kept Conneaut (2-5) from scoring more than five points in a single quarter.

Heather Brant paced all scorers with 16 points, and Lexi Zapitelli led the Spartans with eight points.

AUSTINTOWN FITCH 52, POLAND 32: POLAND - Austintown Fitch's Megan Sefcik went four of five from beyond the arc to lead the Falcons to an All-American Conference, American Division win.

Along with Sefcik's game-high 19 points, the Falcon defense held the Bulldogs to 25 percent shooting from the field in the first half, which allowed Fitch to pull away early.

Aleah Hughes led the Bulldogs with 13 points.

MAPLEWOOD 53, BRISTOL 48: BRISTOL - Center Brooke Dawson dropped 20 points in Maplewood's win Northeastern Athletic Conference win over rival Bristol.

The junior's performance erased the double-double performances from Bristol's (6-2, 3-2 NAC) Allyson Jones, who recorded 12 points and 13 rebounds, and Kylie Stoneman, who added 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Allie Bell also contributed 17 points for Maplewood.

NEWTON FALLS 66, LaBRAE 38: LEAVITTSBURG - Newton Falls jumped out to a 21-6 lead in the first quarter and never looked back for an All-American Conference, National Division win over LaBrae.

The Tigers shot 45 percent from the field, including a 5-of-8 mark from beyond the arc. Brooke Barreca led Newton Falls with 13 points.

Ashlee Stubbs paced the Vikings with 13 points.

YOUNGSTOWN CHRISTIAN 50, MATHEWS 45: YOUNGSTOWN - The Eagles used a 17-point fourth quarter to pull away from the Mustangs on Thursday night.

Down two points going into the final quarter, Youngstown Christian (3-5) held Mathews (4-4) to 10 points to seal the win.

Mathews' Dayna Ellis drained five 3-pointers and led all scorers with 17 points. Shanell Harris led the Eagles with 16 points.

CHAMPION 51, CAMPBELL 19: CAMPBELL - The Golden Flashes' defense held the Red Devils to one point in the first quarter as Champion cruised to an All-American Conference, National Division win.

Campbell (0-6, 0-2) struggled offensively, scoring nine points. Champion's defense played a role, as the Golden Flashes (4-3, 2-0 AAC, National) recorded 10 steals.

Champion's Mackenzie Kiser scored a game-high 21 points, while Gabby Lamont added 10 points.

FARRELL 50, BROOKFIELD 49: BROOKFIELD - The Steelers won in dramatic fashion with a one-point victory over the Warriors.

Farrell (5-1) overcame a five-point deficit going into the fourth quarter by scoring 17 points and holding the Warriors (3-2) to 11 points.

Farrell's Bria Gambill recorded a game-high 15 points. Danielle DiCristofaro led the Warriors with 12 points.
