GREENVILLE, Pa. - Ethel Mae Steele, 91, formerly of the Cortland area, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at White Cliff Nursing Home in Greenville.
She was born March 18, 1921, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of William Scott and Cora Dunlap Hampshire.
Ethel retired from Kroger Co. and was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by a daughter, Judy Ann Wagner of Jamestown, Pa., with whom she made her home before going to White Cliffs; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dolly Penrod of Fort Madison, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis V. Steele; two sons, William and Robin Garlock; five sisters; and three brothers.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the Galloway-Onstott Funeral Home in Hartford, where there will be a funeral services at 2 p.m.
Burial will be in Hartford Township Cemetery.
