WARREN Michael P. Sperko, 93, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Community Skilled Care Center.
Michael was born Jan. 16, 1919, in Girard, the son of Peter and Anna Figaro Sperko.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theatre and retired from Thomas Steel Co.

He is survived by two daughters, Julia A. Putnam of Warren and Darlene J. McClain of Niles; a brother, Paul Sperko of Warren; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth F. Ferris Sperko, and a sister.
Friend may call 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Sinchak and Sons Funeral Home, where the funeral service will follow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
