WARREN - Curtis "Jack" Cooley Jackson Bloss, 76, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, in Northside Medical Center at Youngstown after a long illness.
He was born Sept. 30, 1936, in Cumberland, Md., the son of Curtis Jackson and Virginia Katherine White Bloss.
Jack worked as an electrical engineer and was a graduate of Allegany High School in Cumberland, Md. He graduated from Youngstown University with a bachelor's in engineering.

Jack was very active in Masonic circles. He was the past master of both the Carroll F. Clapp Lodge 655 F&AM, Old Erie Lodge 3 F&AM and a member of York Rite Masonic Bodies. He was elected a Kych of the York Cross of Honor, the highest honor of York Rite, and served as editor for many years on the Trestle Board which is the newsletter for the Masonic organizations in the area. Jack was past high priest of the Mahoning Chapter 10, past Illustrious Master of Warren Council 58 and past Commander of Warren Commandry 39 KT.
Surviving are daughter, Jennifer (Jeffery) Greathouse of Warren; a brother, Fredrick Bloss of Missouri; his sister, Sue (David) Musgrove of Arizona; and his grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica and Jenna Greathouse, all of Warren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Diehl Bloss, who passed away in 1999, and his sister, Sara K. Abel.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at McFarland & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Wilson officiating. Friends and family may gather from 4 to 6 p.m. today and one hour prior to the service Friday.
Entombment will follow in Crown Hill Burial Park. Carroll F. Clapp Lodge 655 F&AM will conduct a Masonic service at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
