HIRAM - David B. Simpson, 66, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Ames Hospice Center in Westlake surrounded by his family.
He was born Jan. 3, 1946, in Warren, the son of Vandell E. and Mary Garnet McLeod Simpson.
David was employed with Parker Hannifin in Ravenna.
Survivors include his wife, Linda R. Malobenski Simpson; a daughter, Heather of Fairbanks, Alaska; a son, David of Lachine, Mich.; three grandchildren; a sister, Phyllis Ellenberger of Hiram; and brothers, Vandell Jr. of Hiram and Robert of Garrettsville.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Garrettsville, where calling hours are from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. There will be a viewing and a gathering of family and friends from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel.
