NILES - Vera C. Joseph, 87, 1500 McKinley Ave., passed away peacefully at 8:32 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at University Hospital in Cleveland following a short illness.
Vera was born June 22, 1925, in Niles, the daughter of Fred and Bader Kolik Cyra Joseph.
She lived in Dayton all of her adult life and was employed for more than 30 years for the United States Defense Logistics Agency. She retired Aug. 31, 1984. Vera was an active member of St. Albert Catholic Church in Dayton and St. Stephen Church in Niles.

Vera is survived by a sister, Sister Mary Concilio Joseph, Humility of Mary of Villa Maria, Pa., and a brother, Thomas (Betty) Joseph of Niles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Nora Joseph; and five brothers, Cleo A., J. Leo, Edward, Michael and George Sr.
Calling hours will be from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen Church. The Rev. Thomas Kraszewski will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
