BOARDMAN - A man and woman involved in a home invasion Saturday afternoon are set to be arraigned in Mahoning County Area Court today.
Township police Chief Jack Nichols said the man, Keemoni Harris, 22, of Campbell was shot several times and was released to police after he was treated at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Nichols said about 3 p.m. Saturday, a woman who used to live at 61 Terrace Hill Drive was at the home to get some furniture.
As she was there, Harris came inside the home with a gun and the homeowner, James Truman Sr., got his gun and fired at least three shots at Harris.
Harris ran out the door and was spotted by an officer outside a nearby drug store and told the officer when he was questioned that he was bitten by a dog. He was arrested and taken to the hospital.
Police found the vehicle that witnesses said was used and arrested the driver, Dorethea Weston, 36, who faces counts of complicity to commit aggravated robbery and carrying concealed weapons.
Nichols said detectives are still trying to figure out the connection between Truman and Harris, if there is one. He said so far all they know is that Truman and his son know the woman who came to pick up her belongings.
Truman has not been charged.
Harris faces charges of felonious assault, obstructing official business and aggravated robbery.
Harris and Weston are both in the Mahoning County Jail.
