YWCA OFFERS WINTER BREAK EVENT FOR KIDS: The YWCA of Warren's Camp Discover will offer a winter break event for children in kindergarten to sixth grades from all school districts from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the YWCA, 375 N. Park Ave., Warren. Each day will be filled with activities, arts and crafts, and treats themed around a Hawaiian Holiday Luau.

MISSION SEEKS TOYS: The Warren Family Mission is in need of toys for children for the annual Christmas toy giveaway. Outreach Ministry this week at the mission, 361 Elm Road. Signups are under way and there are more than 400 families in need of toys for their children this year.
Needed are new, unwrapped toys for boys and girls up to age 18. Toys can be dropped off at the mission seven days a week or at the office at 2671 Youngstown Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.
BLIGHT PROGRAM OFFERED: Stand Up, Fight Blight is a Youngstown nonprofit organization dedicated to the stabilization and revitalization of Youngstown neighborhoods, with volunteers tearing down blighted abandon homes.

UNITED WAY HOLDS FUNDRAISER: United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley will hold a "United We Dine" fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Inner Circle Pizza in Canfield, 6579 Ironwood Blvd. The evening will feature a chance auction, including a variety of holiday gift items. SUTLIFF HOLDS FUNDRAISER: Decks of historic playing cards are available at the Sutliff Museum in Warren for those looking for unique holiday gifts. The cards feature 55 scenes from the history of Trumbull County. Each card pictures on its face a famous person or a monument or a historic building.
Cost is $10 a single deck and $20 for a boxed double deck set.
