HERMITAGE, Pa. - Franklin D. Benson, 80, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at home.
He was born Nov. 11, 1932, in Lynn, Ind., the son of Paul and Dorothy Frazier Benson.
Mr. Benson served in the U.S. Air Force during both the Korean War and Vietnam War.

He was of the Protestant faith and retired from National Castings.
He is survived by his son, Gregory Benson of Brookfield, and his brother, Bob Benson of Richmond, Ind.
Mr. Benson was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes-Madasz Chapel, Brookfield.
Burial will take place at the Brookfield Township Cemetery, where military honors will be observed.
