YOUNGSTOWN - Three men were sentenced today for their roles in a shooting at an of campus fraternity party Feb. 6, 2011, that killed 25-year-old Jamail Johnson and wounded 11 others.
Mark Jones, 21, received a sentence of 10 years for the charge of involuntary manslaughter but is eligible for judicial release after five years; Jamelle Jackson was sentenced to 90 years for the charges of murder, improperly discharging a firearm into a habitation and 10 counts of felonious assault; and Demetrious Wright was given probation for the charges of carrying a concealed weapon and tampering with evidence.
The sentences were handed down by Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Judge John Durkin.
