YOUNGSTOWN - An Oak Street man was sentenced to a year and a half in prison by Mahoning County Common Pleas Court Judge R. Scott Krichbaum today after pleading guilty to charges of assaulting a city police officer.

Frank J. Hill, 43, also was arrested again for contempt of court after he would tried to talk over Krichbaum and claimed he was "railroaded."

Hill was arrested after a July 18 accident at Jacobs Road and Beechwood Avenue after police say he threatened to shoot an officer as he was being treated for his injuries, hit her and tried to tackle her while he was handcuffed.
