MASURY - Steve Vrankovich, 86, died at 8 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, following an extended illness.
He was born May 7, 1926, in Youngstown, the son of Louis and Anna Banjedvorae Vrankovich.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked for Jim Cross Trucking. Steve was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean; his daughter, Anna R. Olek of Brookfield; and two granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Raymond Steven Vrankovich; four sisters; two brothers; and two infant brothers.
A time of gathering to honor Steve's life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Briceland Funeral Service in Brookfield. His celebration continues with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Masury.
He will be laid to rest at Brookfield Township Cemetery with military honors.
