NILES - Angie L. Marchese DeSantis, 76, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Autumn Hills Care Center in Niles.
She was born April 18, 1936, in Niles, the daughter of Peter and Angeline Ravella Marchese.
Angie was a 1954 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and worked with her sisters at Polly's Beauty Shop on Mason Street in Niles, RMI, Wean Engineering as a secretary and also at AVI.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, where she was involved in many church organizations, including the Infant Jesus of Prague, and was a church festival volunteer. Angie loved her Blessed Mother and Our Lady of Guadalupe and enjoyed going to Lebanon Shrine for visits and dinners.
Angie enjoyed going to casinos with her husband and friends, celebrating holiday dinners with cousins and getting together with them as a family. She loved her in-laws and the help they gave to her and Mike.
Her husband, Mike DeSantis, whom she married Oct. 27, 1972, died May 4, 2012.
She will be deeply missed by her son, Michael (Debbie) Stefanic of Florida; four grandchildren, Marena, Michael Jr., Kirkland and Amanda; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Marchese Jones of Niles; a brother, Victor Marchese of Warren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Anthony, Guy, Felix and William Marchese; and two sisters, Pauline Corso and Gloria Shver.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles, where the Mount Carmel Bereavement Ministry will conduct prayers at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m.Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish in Niles, officiated by the Rev. John-Michael Lavelle, and preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.

Angie's niece Linda would like to offer special thanks to Autumn Hills nurses and staff members for the kind support that they have given through all her stay, especially to the girls that would pray the rosary with her.
